My Story. Beginning Again
My Numbers Changed Significantly.
Let’s begin with some numbers. 135/21.1, 6, 37, and 27.5. Here are some other numbers 184/ 28.8, 16, 46, and 36. These are important numbers that represent my state of fitness now and then, and these numbers matter. They affect how I feel, move, and function in this life of mine.
So let’s take a closer look at these numbers. Keep in mind this was not fast it took me 2- 3 years to really get there and to devlope habits that maintiained these numbers.
184/ 28.8 to 135/ 21.1. This is my weight and body mass index (BMI). When I began this particular fitness journey I was at about 184 sometimes closer to 186 pounds. With a BMI of about 28.8 But I really hated to weigh myself so I could have weighed more. Today I weigh around 135 and my BMI is 21.1.
Note: Today I go by body fat compassion rather than BMI it is more informative. But I did not have that number in the beginning. At this time my body composition is 22.7%.
16/ 6. This is my clothes size. I was a size 16 sometimes 14. XL was too tight. Now I’m size 6. It feels great to wear size 6. Personally. It’s not about anyone else. About looking how others think I should look. Looking better is simply a side effect of feeling better. Being able to move with more freedom. I was actually very surprised to be size six. My clothes ended up being giant. Even the clothes I had saved that had been too small.
46/ 37. This is my hip circumference. It was 46 inches and is now 37.
34/ 27.5. And this my waist circumference. It was 36 and now is 27.5.
These Numbers Matter
While these numbers do not define me. These numbers matter. They are a quantitative expression of my ability to function and the state of my health. Words can not describe how meaningful this is in my one life. While wanting to attain greater fitness can be discounted as brushed aside as diet culture. It is ok to want to feel thus look better. To have greater freedom and enjoyment in you skin.
How did a Fitness Trainer Yoga Instructor Become so Out of Shape?

I had a major set back a car rear ended me as I waited to turn left into the parking lot of the school I taught at. It cause a traumatic brain injury(Tbi). A TBI is a subtle baffling injury that no one really understands. Every brain injury is different. And really if you think about it, the brain is our body’s operating system and getting rear ended shakes and shatters it to its fragile core. It makes sense.
In my case I ended up just not able to function. And not inderstanding why becaue you see a brain injury is comlety invisible. I had persistant consistant migraines, sensory overload, dizzyness nausea, inability to orgaize or really process much info, seonsory overload. I went form shopping for all the household food and haveing a budjey for ti. To not having ajob, not driving and others in charge of the food.
